In SimCity Social, it’s important to establish relationships with other mayors in order to get things done, complete quests, and have an enjoyable experience.
Or you can just buy diamonds to get stuff done.
If you’re on the edge of completing a quest and just can’t get your buddies to help, this would be a good time to stock up on some diamonds while EA is running this special offer diamond sale.
How to Get In on the Special Offer Diamond Sale
When you boot up SimCity Social, you’re greeted with new messages. Currently, the announcement for the diamond sale is in this list of messages. You can click the “Redeem Now” button to be taken to a FaceBook checkout page to place your order for diamonds with PayPal or your major credit card.
The deal is 25 diamonds for $1. This doesn’t appear to be a scalable sale. What I mean by that is you won’t be able to buy 50 diamonds for $2 or 100 diamonds for $4. It’s just the one offer of 25.
If you are already in the game and playing, you won’t be able to access the sale from the normal “Get More” button next to your diamond counter. If you have already passed your opening messages, just refresh your browser window to reload SimCity Social. This will make your messages display again, and you can then take advantage of the sale.
Alternatively, you can bug your friends until they help you out. This is an even cheaper option (though it will take more work), but it will keep you out of the habit of giving EA your money.
“It’s just a dollar,” you might think. But that dollar is the gateway to lots of dollars. Bad habits are easier to start than to break.
